We are aware of the following non-compliances.
Some images do not have a text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content). We plan to add text alternatives for all images by the end of May 2021. When we publish new content we’ll make sure our use of images meets accessibility standards.
There are currently some non-essential images of text on our website, which is a failing of WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.5 (images of text). We plan to review all of these images and change them by the end of May 2021.
Currently the content on our website isn’t marked up correctly in html format implicating someone using a screen reader. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1. (Info and relationships), 2.4.6. (Headings and labels) and 1.3.6. (Identify Purpose). We will be correcting this by the end of May 2021.
Areas of our website are not Keyboard accessible and fail the WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.1.1. (Keyboard), 2.1.2. (No Keyboard Trap) and 2.1.4. (Keyboard shortcuts). We plan to review this with our developers and implement changes by the end of May 2021.
The tab and read order of certain pages on the website don’t meet the WCAG 2.1 criteria 2.4.3. (Focus Order) or 1.3.2. (Meaningful Sequence). These will be amended and updated before the end of May 2021.
The wording of some hyperlinks on our website are not as clear and direct as they should be. This is a failing of WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.4 (link purpose), 3.2.5 (change on request), 4.1.2 (name, role and value) and 1.3.1 (info and relationships). We plan to review all of the hyperlinks on our website and update them to make their purpose clear by the end of May 2021.
Parts of our colour usage on our website fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.3 (contrast) 1.4.11 (non-text contrast). Links, certain buttons and error messages are examples of elements on the site that present a contrast ratio of less than 4.5:1. We plan to alter the colour of our hyperlinks by the end of May 2021.
Text on our website can’t be resized up to 200% - this is a failing of WCAG 2.1 criteria 1.4.4 (resize). We plan to amend this function by the end of May 2021
Certain forms on our website are not clear on labelling and error messaging, this is a potential failing of WCAG 2.1 success criterion(s), 3.3.1 (error identification), 3.3.2 (labels or instructions), 3.3.3. (error suggestion), 3.3.4 (error prevention) and 4.1.2. (Name, Role, Value). We plan to review and update the forms on our websites by the end of May 2021.
Areas of code within the website don’t comply with WCAG 2.1 parsing requirement impacting how the page may be read by those using non-visual cues or specialist browsers/software’s. This a failing of success criteria 4.1.1. (parsing) as this is embedded into the code of the site it will take time to correct.

Portable Document Formats (PDFs)
PDFs on this site were taken from our previous website which isn’t WCAG 2.1 AA compliant. These PDFs fail success criteria on 1.1.1. (non-text content), 1.3.1. (info and relationships), 1.4.5. (images of text) and 2.4.6. (headings and labels). Due to the number of PDFs we’re working through from our previous site, we’re focusing on ensuring those created after September 2020 comply with WCAG 2.1. AA standards then moving onto ones prior to that date after – all future PDFs published will be fully accessible. This will take time due to limited resource we’re aiming for these to be resolved end of May 2021. If you have a PDF from this site that isn’t accessible and needs to be, please contact us.
